Learn more about the construction and design plans for the Wyoming Capitol Square Project during a community open house, being held from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24 in Cheyenne. The open house will be held in room B63 in the Herschler Building, located at 122 W 25th Street in Cheyenne.
The Capitol Square Project centers on the restoration of the Wyoming State Capitol, which is a National Historic Landmark, and includes the rehabilitation of the adjacent Herschler Building, as well as a four-story office addition to the Herschler. This complex multi-year project will repair the buildings while making much needed health, safety, security and electrical upgrades.
Construction on the project begins in August. Additionally, the Capitol will close in August and not reopen until completion in 2018.
