Entablature repairs

The entablature on the west wing of the Capitol has been replaced and repaired. The copper flashing is also new and will weather to match the patina on the existing roof.

A new steel structure backing system is replacing old wooden backing, some of them palettes, used to secure the entablature to the Capitol.

The Capitol dome is covered for restoration. The repairs will extend the life expectancy of the dome by over 75 years.
